Kuehneon duchyense
Taxonomy
Kuehneon duchyense was named by Kretzoi (1960). Its type specimen is Duchy-33, a tooth (upper molar), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Duchy Quarry (St. Bride's Island), which is in a Hettangian/Sinemurian fissure fill limestone/marl in the United Kingdom. It is the type species of Kuehneon.
It was considered a nomen vanum by Cassiliano and Clemens (1979).
