Taxonomy
Leptomitus walcotti was named by Resser and Howell (1938). It is not extant. Its type locality is USNM locality 12x, Getz Quarry, which is in a Dyeran marine shale in the Kinzers Formation of Pennsylvania.
It was recombined as Hazelia walcotti by Rigby (1987).
