Taxonomy
Hoploparia tshudyi was named by Schweitzer and Feldmann (2001). Its type specimen is USNM 512160, a carapace, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Contact Gulch, which is in an Albian marine siltstone in the Moonshine Creek Formation of Alaska.
