Olekmaspis was named by Suvorova (1956) [Sepkoski's age data: Cm Boto Sepkoski's reference number: 471,474]. It is not extant.

It was assigned to Ptychopariida by Sepkoski (2002); and to Ellipsocephalidae by Jell and Adrain (2002).
