Taxonomy
Eridmatus petita was named by Waterhouse and Waddington (1982). Its type specimen is GSC 35502 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is JBW19, Ettrain Creek, which is in an Asselian marine siltstone in the Jungle Creek Formation of Canada.
