Rhodonaspis was named by Whitehouse (1939) [Sepkoski's age data: Cm Dres-l Sepkoski's reference number: 16]. It is not extant. Its type is Rhodonaspis longula.
It was assigned to Olenidae by Duan et al. (1999); and to Ptychopariida by Sepkoski (2002).
