Denemarkia was named by Pribyl (1946) [Sepkoski's age data: D Sieg Sepkoski's reference number: 421,1106]. It is not extant. Its type is Proetus frontalis.
It was assigned to Tropidocoryphidae by Jell and Adrain (2002); to Proetida by Sepkoski (2002); to Denemarkiinae by Feist (2003); and to Tropidocoryphinae by Bault et al. (2021).
