Taxonomy
Perliproetus was named by Richter (1927) [Sepkoski's age data: D Fame-u Sepkoski's reference number: 2,421]. It is not extant. Its type is Calymene marginata. It is the type genus of Perliproetinae.
It was assigned to Proetida by Sepkoski (2002); to Perliproetinae by Pillet (1969), Basse and Lemke (2020); and to Proetinae by Feist et al. (2000), Bault et al. (2021).
