Protoarrenurus convergens
Taxonomy
Protoarrenurus convergens was named by Cook (1957). Its type specimen is USNM 561978, an exoskeleton, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is USGS Cenozoic 19065c, Mule Canyon, Calico Hills, which is in a Hemingfordian lacustrine - large shale in the Barstow Formation of California. It is the type species of Protoarrenurus.
