Pseudowaribole was named by Hahn and Hahn (1967) [Sepkoski's age data: D Fame-m C Mosc-l Sepkoski's reference number: 802,892]. It is not extant.

It was assigned to Linguaphillipsiinae by Engel and Morris (1989); to Proetida by Sepkoski (2002); to Proetidae by Jell and Adrain (2002); and to Weaniinae by Basse and Lemke (2020), Bault et al. (2021).
