Taxonomy
Palaemon vesolensis was named by Bravi et al. (1999). Its type specimen is A4491/8 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Monte Vesole, interval g, which is in a Campanian/Maastrichtian lagoonal/restricted shallow subtidal lime mudstone in Italy.
