Taxonomy
Hydroblastus hendyi was named by Sumrall et al. (2009). Its type specimen is CMCIP-51237 (Theca) and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Drowning Creek Area, which is in a Givetian carbonate grainstone/packstone in the Boyle Formation of Kentucky.
