Taxonomy

Pariadens mckennai was named by Cifelli (2004). Its type specimen is OMNH 33072, a tooth (left m4), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is OMNH V868, Mussentuchit , which is in a Cenomanian crevasse splay horizon in the Cedar Mountain Formation of Utah.

Diagnosis

R. L. Cifelli 2004	Differs from Pariadens kirklandi in having lower molars with relatively narrower talonids (particularly m4) and greater height differential between trigonid and talonid; stronger precingulid; stronger paraconid keel, variably including a basal cuspule; entoconid not as strongly developed and less strongly joined to hypoconulid; m4 not elongate relative to preceding molars.
