Bawitius bartheli
Taxonomy
Polypterus bartheli was named by Schaal (1984). Its type specimen is TU-B SFB 69 Vb 003 (= Bah 5/12-016), a partial skull (left ectopterygoid), and it is a 3D body fossil. It is the type species of Bawitius.
It was recombined as Bawitius bartheli by Grandstaff et al. (2012).
