Taxonomy
Eumunida was named by Smith (1883). It is extant. It is the type genus of Eumunididae.

It was assigned to Chirostylidae by Schweitzer and Feldmann (2000), Schweitzer et al. (2010); and to Eumunididae by Schweitzer et al. (2023).
