Brazilomunida was named by Martins-Neto (2001). It is not extant. Its type is Galatheites brasiliensis.
It was assigned to Galatheidae by Schweitzer et al. (2010); and to Munidopsidae by Luque et al. (2017) and Schweitzer et al. (2023).
