Taxonomy
Ovocarcinus elongatus was named by Muller and Collins (1991). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Szepvolgy Limestory Facies 4, which is in a Paleogene marine limestone in Hungary. It is the type species of Ovocarcinus.
