Venipagurus mariae
Taxonomy
Venipagurus mariae was named by Collins (2011). Its type specimen is BMNH In. 53966, a carapace, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Black Ven, 300 m east of Lyme Regis, Flatstones 83h, which is in an Obtusum offshore lime mudstone in the Charmouth Mudstone Formation of the United Kingdom. It is the type species of Venipagurus.
