Annuntidiogenes was named by Fraaije et al. (2008). Its type is Annuntidiogenes ruizdegaonai. It is the type genus of Annuntidiogenidae.
It was assigned to Diogenidae by Fraaije et al. (2008), Fraaije et al. (2009), Schweitzer et al. (2010); and to Annuntidiogenidae by Schweitzer et al. (2023).
