Taxonomy
Odontopteryx toliapica was named by Owen (1873). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Isle of Sheppey (BMNH collection), which is in a Ypresian marine claystone in the London Clay Formation of the United Kingdom.
It was recombined as Dasornis toliapica by Bourdon et al. (2010), Bourdon and Cappetta (2012), Cenizo et al. (2015).
