Taxonomy
Harrycaris was named by Briggs and Rolfe (1983) [Sepkoski's age data: D Fras-l Sepkoski's reference number: 619]. It is not extant. Its type is Harrycaris whittingtoni.

It was assigned to Concavicarida by Sepkoski (2002); and to Concavicarididae by Schram (2014).
