Taxonomy
Convexicaris was named by Schram (1990) [Sepkoski's age data: C Mosc-u Sepkoski's reference number: 933]. It is not extant. Its type is Convexicaris mazonensis.

It was assigned to Conchyliocarida by Sepkoski (2002); and to Clausocarididae by Schram (2014).
