Taxonomy
Vectis wrighti was named by Withers (1946). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Crackers, Atherfield (Wright collection), which is in an Aptian marine siliciclastic in the Atherfield Clay Formation of the United Kingdom. It is the type species of Vectis.
