Eotrachynotocarcinus airaghii was named by Beschin et al. (2007). It is not extant. Its type locality is Contrada Gecchelina, Monte di Malo, which is in a Ypresian platform/shelf-margin reef limestone in Italy. It is the type species of Eotrachynotocarcinus.
