Lyreidus elegans
Taxonomy
Lyreidus elegans was named by Glaessner (1960). Its type specimen is NZGS DC 123, an exoskeleton, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Tutaki S.D., which is in an Altonian marine horizon in New Zealand.
It was recombined as Lyreidus (Lyreidus) elegans by Feldmann (1992).
