Taxonomy
Raninella starkvillensis was named by Rathbun (1935). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Gullies on campus of Agricultural and Mechanical College, which is in a Maastrichtian marine chalk in the Prairie Bluff Formation of Mississippi.
