Taxonomy
Ebalia jacqueshermani was named by van Bakel et al. (2003). Its type specimen is MAB k.2372, a carapace, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Deurganckdok, Kattendijk Member, which is in a Zanclean marine sandstone in the Kattendijk Formation of the Netherlands.
