Taxonomy
Eomatuta granosa was named by De Angeli and Marchiori (2009). Its type specimen is MCV 08/01 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Case Pissotto, which is in an Eocene marine horizon in Italy. It is the type species of Eomatuta.
