It was assigned to Carcinoplacinae by Muller and Collins (1991); to Decapoda by Sepkoski (2002); to Euryplacinae by Karasawa and Kato (2003); and to Euryplacidae by Karasawa and Schweitzer (2006), Schweitzer et al. (2010), Beschin et al. (2018), Schweitzer et al. (2022).
