Taxonomy
Cancer parvidens was named by Collins and Fraaye (1991). Its type specimen is MAB k.0025, a carapace, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is De Hoogdonk brickyard, which is in a Tortonian coastal sandstone in the Breda Formation of the Netherlands.
