Romaleon dereki
Taxonomy
Cancer (Romaleon) dereki was named by Nations (1975). Its type specimen is UCMP 10741, a carapace, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is UCMP A-6884, La Honda reservoir, Langley Hill, which is in a Messinian marine siliciclastic in the Purisima Formation of California.
It was recombined as Romaleon dereki by Schweitzer and Feldmann (2000), Schweitzer et al. (2010).
