Taxonomy
Vavilovites subtriangularis was named by Vavilov (1976). Its type specimen is KIG LGU 336/1 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Upper Omoloy river, Orulgan range, which is in a Dienerian marine siliciclastic in the Russian Federation.
