Pliopirimela deconincki
Taxonomy
Pliopirimela deconincki was named by van Bakel et al. (2003). Its type specimen is MAB k.2387, a carapace, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Verrebroek dock (Atrina level, Oorderen Mb), which is in a Piacenzian transition zone/lower shoreface sandstone in the Lillo Formation of Belgium. It is the type species of Pliopirimela.
