It was assigned to Decapoda by Sepkoski (2002); to Majidae by Glaessner (1960), Feldmann and Keys (1992), Feldmann et al. (2006); and to Majinae by Feldmann and Maxwell (1990), Feldmann and Duncan (1992), Schweitzer et al. (2010), Schweitzer et al. (2020).
