Taxonomy
Trapezia loerentheyi was named by Muller (1975).

It was recombined as Tetralia loerentheyi by Muller and Collins (1991), Schweitzer et al. (2010), De Angeli et al. (2010); it was recombined as Eurotetralia loerentheyi by De Angeli and Ceccon (2013), Beschin et al. (2018), Schweitzer et al. (2021).
