It was assigned to Calappinae by Karasawa (1993) and Schweitzer and Feldmann (1999); to Decapoda by Sepkoski (2002); and to Calappidae by Rathbun (1918), Rathbun (1926), Müller (1984), Schweitzer and Feldmann (2000), Collins et al. (2003), Schweitzer et al. (2010), Hyžný and Schlögl (2011), Beschin and de Angeli (2012), Luque et al. (2017) and Schweitzer and Feldmann (2019).
