Gillcarcinus amphora
Taxonomy
Gillcarcinus amphora was named by Collins and Morris (1978). Its type specimen is BMNH In. 61553, a carapace, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Ramak Kwar, south-west of Dera Ismail Khan, which is in a Lutetian marine shale/limestone in the Domanda Formation of Pakistan. It is the type species of Gillcarcinus.
