Stoaplax nandachare
Taxonomy
Stoaplax nandachare was named by Vega et al. (2001). Its type specimen is IHNCH-3468 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is IHN 1005 - Veinte de Noviembre [San Juan Fm], which is in an Eocene coastal marl/sandstone in the San Juan Formation of Mexico. It is the type species of Stoaplax.
It was recombined as Orbitoplax nandachare by Luque et al. (2017).
