Taxonomy
Parapronorites skvorzovi was named by Tchernow (1907). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Lytvy River, below Aleksandrovskago, which is in an Artinskian marine horizon in the Russian Federation.

It was recombined as Neopronorites skvorzovi by Ruzhentsev (1956), Zakharov (1984), Andrianov (1985), Leonova (2002).
