Taxonomy
Palicus hungaricus was named by Müller (2006). Its type specimen is HNHM 2005.106.1, a carapace, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Diósd, which is in a Serravallian reef, buildup or bioherm reef rocks/packstone in Hungary.
