Taxonomy
Palinurina was named by Munster (1839) [Sepkoski's age data: J l J Tith-l Sepkoski's reference number: 75]. It is not extant. Its type is Palinurina longipes.

It was assigned to Decapoda by Sepkoski (2002); and to Palinuridae by Schweitzer et al. (2010) and Schweitzer et al. (2015).
