Selenisca was named by Von Meyer (1874) [Sepkoski's age data: J u]. It is not extant. Its type is Selenisca gratiosa.
It was assigned to Decapoda by Sepkoski (2002); and to Mecochiridae by Schweitzer et al. (2010), Feldmann et al. (2015).
