Willemoesiocaris was named by Van Straelen (1924) [Sepkoski's age data: J m]. It is not extant. Its type is Palaeopentacheles ovalis.
It was assigned to Decapoda by Sepkoski (2002); and to Polychelidae by Schweitzer et al. (2010), Feldmann et al. (2013).
