Anthracocaris is a genus. It is not extant. Its type is Palaeocaris scotica. It is the type genus of Anthracocaridae, Anthracocarididae.
It was assigned to Anthracocarididae by Brooks et al. (1969), Schram (1979) and Schram et al. (1986); and to Tanaidacea by Sepkoski (2002).
