Paleotrypanosoma burmanicus
Taxonomy
Paleotrypanosoma burmanicus was named by Poinar (2008). Its type specimen is OSU B-D-47b, an exoskeleton, and it is an inclusion in amber. Its type locality is Burmese amber, Kachin Amber (Poinar collection), which is in a Cenomanian terrestrial amber in Myanmar. It is the type species of Paleotrypanosoma.
