Bradoria was named by Mathew (1899) [Sepkoski's age data: Cm Atda-l Cm Fran Sepkoski's reference number: 111,129,135,885]. Its type is Bradoria scrutator. It is the type genus of Bradoriidae.
It was assigned to Archaeocopida by Bengtson (1992); to Ostracoda by Sepkoski (2002); and to Bradoriidae by Benson et al. (1961), Jones and Laurie (2006), Landing et al. (2008).
