Taxonomy
Bairdiacypris wangi was named by Olempska (1999). Its type specimen is ZPAL O.XLV/280 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Mu-42, Muhua Section, which is in a Tournaisian deep subtidal limestone in the Muhua Formation of China.
