Taxonomy
Hogmochilina was named by Solle (1935) [Sepkoski's age data: S D u Sepkoski's reference number: 85]. It is not extant. It is the type genus of Hogmochilinoidea, Hogmochilinidae.

It was synonymized subjectively with Isochilina by Benson et al. (1961).

It was assigned to Isochilininae by Swartz (1949); to Leperditicopida by Sepkoski (2002); and to Hogmochilinidae by Liebau (2005), Abushik and Evdokimova (2016).
