Paramoelleritia was named by Wang (1976) [Sepkoski's age data: D Emsi-u D Eife Sepkoski's reference number: 85]. It is not extant.

It was assigned to Leperditiidae by Berdan (1984); and to Leperditicopida by Sepkoski (2002).
