Taxonomy
Phalagnostus carinatus was named by Lu and Lin (1989). It is not extant. Its type locality is Yangliugang Hill II, bed 13, which is in a Wangcunian/Guzhangian carbonate limestone/shale in the Yangliugang Formation of China.
